The primary focus is to help the client gain the needed resources in order to succeed in the community.
CPST are not site specific and are provided in locations that meets the needs of the individuals served.
Services will be overseen by the psychiatric nurse and will be determined by coordination of the ISP.
What Is CPS Treatment
Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST) are goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions intended to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the individual’s recovery plan. CPST addresses specific individual needs with evidence-based and evidence-informed psychotherapeutic practices designed specifically to meet those needs.
CPST is provided one-on-one with the individual present; however, family or other persons significant to the individual may also be involved.
CPS Treatment Includes:
Assessment of the needs.
Treatment planning.
Crisis assistance.
Monitoring of overall service delivery.
Obtaining any services necessary for meeting basic
human needs.
Promoting a condition of awareness and interdependency
for the individual in his/her community.
